I recently won a tin of The Cup on eBay from a seller with 100% feedback (almost 9000 positives), and upon winning, I immediately paid in full, plus the amount needed for shipping...$22 for USPS Priority Mail International.

I emailed the seller and asked him if he would be able to provide me with a tracking number, and I have heard nothing back from him (only a couple of days ago, mind you). I have no doubts he is an awesome seller, and would expect no problems...but...

Admittedly, I am impatient, as this is my first high end purchase ever. I've never spent $200 on a box of cards before, let alone $300 for 5 or 6 cards.

I'm wondering if this service (USPS Priority Mail International) always provides tracking, and how long it normally takes to get a package from the USA to Canada. I did look it up, but I'd like to get some data from people who have actually used the service, if possible. If it helps, I am in Saskatchewan, and he is in "Third Coast" (Great Lakes region, I believe). Any info would be great - thanks.

USPS Priority is NOT tracked.
Only method of USPS shipping that has a tracking number is International Express and usually cost around $15 to send.

Hopefully, it will arrive soon.
As for the seller, his lack of response is quite typical of eBay sellers these days. Poor shipping practices, lack of simple communication and customer services is pretty standard these days regardless of the amount spent.

express is now 23 bux for flat rate envelope and about 27 bux for a package, depending on weight. but i concur, only trackable way for international is international express, tracking number, signature and i believe about 100.00 worth of insurance.

Okay guys, thanks a lot. I'm not worried or anything, the guy has impeccable feedback, so he's obviously legit. In all fairness, he has a very high volume eBay store, so I can give the guy a pass on not repsponding to my self-admitted ignorance regarding UPS. I'll probably get the tin before he responds...I hope. :)

Like I said, thanks.

Update:

Apparently, this form of shipping does get a tracking number, as one was emailed to me a few days ago, and I have been tracking the shipment. It is slow, though. The item was mailed on Sept. 12th, and has just cleared customs. I should have it next week some time, I hope.
