Hey all, no expo for me this year. Some day I'll make it, and meet up with everyone. I haven't been picking up as many Gaborik cards lately, but I am still collecting his stuff. Here are the newest additions:
A couple of Sweet shot autos for the collection. Just need to track down the Stick Signings now. The Ice Signings is probably my favorite of the two. If anyone has a copy of the Stick Signings from this year available, please drop me a note.
One newer release, and one older one. The Artifacts dual is /10.
This one is a bit of a milestone for the collection. It is my 30th Gabby Cup card. For a while I wasn't even sure if it would ever show up. It made the trip from Winnipeg to Minneapolis three times. It was shipped with tracking, and showed as delivered, but I never saw it in my mailbox the first time. I'm still not sure what the heck happened. The seller was nice enough to split the difference on shipping it the second time.
Last, but not least, a white whale that found it's way home:
A lot of folks throw around the term "whale" in this hobby pretty loosely, but I have seriously been looking for this card for 2+ years. It had been sitting on eBay for a little while with a high BIN, and no BO option. I really didn't want to pay twice as much as it was worth just to cross it off the list. I made the seller reasonable offers a couple of times, and got no reply. I guess the third time was a charm, because he finally replied. Persistence paid off, and I got it for less than I had offered him in the past. I must have caught him at the right time.
