01/02 UD Young Guns variations??

Hi,

I have come across a few YGs from this series (Datsyuk and Cole RCs) and was wondering why there are two variations and of the two which one is more desirable? Oh yes, how can I tell which variation is which?

I think they used different pictures for the hobby and the retail.

Rod's got it. One was for hobby, the other for retail.

Rule of thumb - for the most part - the Hobby YGs had pics that weren't as close up as the Retail ones - the Retail Ones were cropped a bit tighter

Also it should be noted that it was for series 2 YG's only.

If UD still has the checklist for the set, they do show the two sets, one as the regular card and the other version as the exclusive.
