Now, in essence, they are just another jersey parallel.

Oh well, that was one of the few sticker autos I was thinking of making a run at this year, money saved I suppose.

I don't mind the look - auto would have been nice, too...stickers don't bother me as much as they do some others here (although if choosing, hard-signed is definitely nicer)

How about the $11 mailing charge in the auction that the OP linked to? Not being from the US, I'm not sure, is "USPS Priority" a premium service, like XpressPost?

Trish, while I do really like the overall design, I just think they should have kept these as a signed insert, it just doesn't make sense to have yet another jersey parallel IMO.

A Flat Rate Priority Mail envelope is $9 to Canada. If you would send it via regular Priority Mail it'd be $16.

Until I read your post I didn't really mind the way they are now or have a problem with them, I think you're on to something though.

I don't really see it this way. 'Significant' still means 'important' or 'noteworthy'. Just because they used it as a play on words for an autographed set once, doesn't mean they are tied to that usage forever.

I believe the initial plan was to have them autographed, but they bagged it. I could be wrong though, no surprise.
