so far, not as bad as before when it was the wrong player name... or wrong plate inserted (we'll never know which was the mistake!)

Although I'm as tired of these UD bashing threads as anyone I have to say that mistakes like these in your highest-end product are unacceptable. The Cup costs $400 for a 6 card tin. Expecting no error cards isn't too much to ask, is it?

*snicker* *snort*

Apparently so.

But at least we hit the "over" on error card threads... I had it at 4 threads.

For Upper Deck, yeah it's too hard.

Looks like all the plates say Rookie on them? There's a Cogliano here - http://hobbyinsider.net/forum/showthread.php?t=263442

Some may say nitpicking or bashing, but come on, this is supposed to be the "premier hockey product in the industry" right? How do you miss something like this? What were they doing for months while the product kept getting pushed bacK? They certainly had plenty of time for some design checks and QC.

IMO it's nitpicking if ONE veteran had "rookie masterpiece" on their printing plate of this year's card. When the whole run is done like that and considering delay after delay for this product it's something else.

Do we know for sure if it was hard-signed? Might they have sent out the swatches for signing rather than the full cards?

(Hey, if this is a dumb question, tell me so ;) )

Not to get into an argument (because I agree with you) but Superlative spelled Patrik Elias' name wrong so this isn't solely a UD problem.

Ive worked as a designer in the print industry for 3+ years now, I can say, misspelled words do get through. Not very often, but human error does happen. If UD is anything like my companies, not as many people check/proofread these things as you might think.
