I went into calgary, and I figured while I was there I'd swing by Maple Leaf Sports Card store in the NW.
I was going to buy 2 boxes of older cards, then I was thinking, screw that, lets get a box of new stuff and try and get a nice rookie or something.
I picked up a box of SPA for $159. about $6.63/pack, not too bad, cheaper then back home in Red Deer.
Anyways, I get back into the truck and my wife takes the box right away and starts opening the packs while I'm driving. I told her to look for the thick packs, if there are any, they will be either decoy cards or I could get lucky and pull a patch.
I watched a guy in the store bust a box and get really nothing in it, so I was hoping I'd have better luck.
First pack of the three thick packs and she said, awww it's just a fake card.
but then she said, look a future watch autograph. she was about to put the cards away and I was like, well who is it? some guy named, eganni makin. who??
I'm like you mean Evgeni Malkin? YEAH THAT GUY, I was like holy ****, that's my best pull ever!! not too bad even thou it wasn't his patch version, still not too bad.

Well this has to be my best box break ever.
The last time I broke a box from this store in Calgary, it was 05-06 Fleer Ultra and I pulled the Ovechkin rookie card and the Crosby scoring kings jersey card.
This Store Rocks!!
