10/11 SPA Hot Box???

Hey guys.Hit the LCS looking to bust some
wax and since The Cup is a little out of my
range,I settled for the SPA.

Now,if you couldn't hit one of the big RC's,who else
would you rather hit than this guy?

That's right baby.None other than a Zach Hamill FWA /999.



But wait,there's still one more hit to this magical box of
SPA.IMO,it's the biggest hit for me this year.Topping the
Hall FWA /999 and the Bobby Orr Immortal Inks /10 I pulled.
Here they are in all they're glory.

That's right folks.Not one,two,three but four solid decoys
for your viewing pleasure.:giggity::giggity:Needless to say,
that was one sad box of cards.But hey,if you can't have
fun doing it what's the point,right.On that note,I am open to offers
for the decoys and all comments appreciated.Hope I brought
you a couple minutes of entertainment if nothing else!!!!!:beer:

Gotcha beat champ, SIX decoys, two autos. One of which was BARRY MELROSE. I called UD about it, and they're sending me a "hit" from SPA to make up for it. Probably another random UD football jersey like the one they sent when I got a 2-base, 2-decoy pack of SP Game Used. WOOHOO!!! Free tin of the cup for fans on Facebook though, maybe I'd have better luck not ripping boxes and being witty on the internet? It's frustrating. Your box was still pretty awful, and I feel your pain on the Hamill. Imagine how irritating it is to rip a dozen boxes of Black Diamond, and pull THREE Hamill quad diamond (how the $@&*% did THAT happen, by the way?!?!?!) RC's, while attempting to be a Seguin collector? Enough to make you rip your eyeballs out. I'm still waiting on the replacement for the missing SPA hit, and if they don't dazzle me, at least I'm prepared for it in advance. UGH. My condolences, this box stunk too.

You at least pulled an Orr Immortal Inks though, right? My best hit out of SPA this year? A Luke Adam auto. Six boxes, countless random packs, and that was my money card right there. I want to quit ripping, but it's like heroin, I just can't kick the habit.

Yeah, SPA is simply not configured well...lots of packs with base or silly inserts and you practically have to open the whole case to get the stuff that makes it worthwhile...it's a big gamble.

I think maybe they need to cut down on the production run and cut down maybe 20% of the /999 rookies that they ask to autograph cards. The /999 non-auto RCs still have decent value for people building sets of SPA and if you make less and the quality of the auto'ed RCs and SOTTs are better, it will be a better break. Also, cut down that bottom 25% of the people who sign those SOTTs as well.
