Upper Deck has admitted it was an error and will be removing the card from the pack-out. This text taken from the Facebook comments on the card:

We have the best fans! Knew you guys would be able to catch the error here. This card will not be packing out in 2010-11 NHL The Cup. We had a couple other small errors we picked out of the lot, but this was the biggest we found.

You REALLY need to explain this one to me too. I would trust every ITG card made before anything from Upper Dreck....

Not good -- forced to remove a big-hit 1/1 from the product. I laughed at the first comment -- apparently UD's fans are better than its employees. I admit it's a little sad how it slipped through Vanek, though...

It's horse**** They say it stuck out to their Quality Inspection? Then why would they post it in their preview pics? I call BS on that. Now a 1/1 hit is being removed and replaced by what? A base card???
 
This one was only caught because it's obvious (goalie jersey). How many other tags, without that sort of distinguishing mark, are unauthentic or placed on the wrong player's card?

It's happened before. When I was at the packout a few years ago, some 1/1's were severely damaged and other cards had hideous errors, and they had no choice but to pull it from the product. It's one less hit that's packed out, but there's plenty of other stuff in there that you wouldn't even notice. Could've been worse...coulda been a Sid with a Flyers logo or something.
