10/11 The Cup, The Cards!!!

There isn't much in the cup this year that wows me. Dual cards of the same player do nothing for me, book cards do nothing for me, theres way to many shields and now shields are flooding the market and coming down in value, and most of the other stuff has been done before.

Same with kovy except for one card.......foundation auto jersey of all cards to ask him to sign? I wondering why that is? It boggles my mind!!

He He He Correction please, I have NEVER seen a Tiger Woods Upper Deck Official Autograph card from the golf line where he is featured with another golfer. There was a dual tiger woods autographed shirt card in 2003 SPGU Golf (just like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Team Canada dual Sidney Crosby autograph in SPA this year) but that was as close as Tiger would get too signing a card with someone else when it came too the exclusive upper deck golf line.

Now I do stand corrected, after the golf line ended in 2005 Tiger has had a few ultra rare dual autograph cards with Michael Jordan. one notable in the city hero's set or something where it was a jordan shirt auto and tiger shirt auto limited too 25, and in the world of sports product where it's just limited too five! I think because they are such good friends, Tiger made an exception too this when he was approached by upper deck, who knows.

I was referring to the duals with Jordan, especially the ones that were in the Exquisite set a couple of years ago. I don't know much about the golf lines but I kind of figured he had no duals in them. A dual is a dual even if it's in a different sport's product line.

At the very least it would be nice to see Crosby agree to a few duals in The Cup with guys like Gretzky, Lemieux, Ovechkin, and other Penguins teammates. Maybe some day Crosby's camp will let him make his own decisions and he'll come around to the idea of signing with other players. He's not a teenager anymore I'm sure he can handle his own business.
 
I dont get why a player wouldnt sign a card with someone else. But I am ok with them being selective of who they sign with. I always shake my head when I see the Gordie Howe and Nathan Horton dual. If you want to put a Legend with a Rookie stick with the same team.
 
Is it just me or is the patch on that Neely 1/1 Patch Auto a swatch from one of those 1999-2000 season patches that each team wore? Did Neely not retire after the '95-'96 season?
 
I hope they ship the cards out of North Carolina before Irene hits. Not sure how close they are to the coast. Looks like a direct hit.
