Ok what is the deal? I bought a pack of Artifacts today...got a Taylor Hall Jersey/Patch /75 - the "patch" was gold, and I am like, sweet...maybe it is from the gold drop in the patch...then after looking at the "patch" I notice...it is NOT a patch at all...it is just a piece of basic jersey....in fact all the ones I see on ebay look the same. How can they get away with that?

I know Ovechkin's 'patches' are actually pieces of glove. I don't consider glove pieces patches. Only seems to be the case in Artifacts. Happened on some cards of his in last years Artifacts.

I pulled that identical card as well, was a little confused about the patch.

Also saw CnC pull a jersey/patch today of another player (can't remember who) but the "patch" was CLEARLY a standard white jersey swatch...not even just a plain white patch, but it was literally just a jersey swatch.

Looks like UD had a little trouble with this problem

I can see a perfect storm brewing.... stamped autographs.... sketchy jersey cards.... a hockey strike....

I am not sure when the NHL Licences are due, but I think someone will be taking a taxi to work pretty soon, if you know what I mean!

I noticed that on a few of the Oilers, and also as the person above mentioned, I've noticed a few patch cards with just a regular jersey swatch in it.

Artifacts is a disaster this year.

No good name rookies and the lockout isn't helping with the rookie redemptions either.

The design on some of the sets like Frozen Fabrics are just so awful they make me wanna puke.

Cards are coming out of packs with a lot of damage.

I also notice most of the patch cards (the ones that contain real patch pieces) are all miss-cut somehow.

Cards that were, and should be, numbered this year are simply not, dragging values down next to nothing.

Parallels are numbered so close to each other... do we really need an emerald /99 and a blue /85??

Now you have this with the non-patch patch cards?

I loved Artifacts the last 2 years and thought they retained value really well especially the Jersey/Patch #ed 65 and the horizontal patch cards too. It's a shame they put such little effort into this one.

With the way the lock-out is handled, I feel much better breaking products that aren't liscenced by the NHL.
