17-18 MVP Purple Parallel Achievement card

This was written on News section regarding MVP:

Collectors can combine an entire Purple Parallel set (#1-200) to receive an e-Pack exclusive Purple Script Parallel achievement card #0 of Connor McDavid*.

*This is a digital only achievement card and cannot be shipped, or transferred to a linked COMC.com account.

Am i only one missing something here? What's the point on building a set in which the achievement card is digital too? I get that entire Purple set comes from free packs but i still don't really understand the point on having a digital achievement card which you cannot have mailed to you.

Agreed. I don't see the point of these since 1- they can't be combined into physical/transferable cards and 2- since the achievement card can't be transferred. I've started opening last year's MVP as the free pack this past week.

My guess is this achievement will be part of an achievement set across multiple sets. That will make people buy MVP later when that new multi-set achievement is announced.
