17-18 OPC Platinum - 2 Boxes

Stopped by Darren's and picked up 2 boxes of OPC Platinum

I've been on hiatus for awhile, after cutting back on my collection, I was down to breaking wax on only SPA and OPC Platinum. That was tough as both of those releases are later in the hockey season.....
Also started a new job that has kept me quite busy, no more endless Ebay listings and mailing out of cards, which meant less expendable cash....

Here are the colored hits. Both autos are Group A, but that doesn't mean as much as there are a lot of Group As in the Rookie groups.

I love the purples. Nice to see UD change these cards from year to year. Traxx -> Traxx -> Blue Traxx -> Purple Pixels

The retros also look miles better than the previous retros IMO. It's not a straight design copy from the regular OPC. Works well with shifting the colors as well Chrome / Blue / Green / Red Auto.

I have to say, I like this year's iteration much better than last year's and the 15/16 year.

Retros are PC
Everything else I will trade for equivalent flames cards.

Those base cards have a very 07-08 O-PeeChee feel to them. But the other ones look amazing. Would be interested in the matthews purple. And nice hit on the macavoy

I still think the case hit is still around. Not sure how many boxes you picked up there, I'm assuming we got boxes from the same case...

I opened the rest of the boxes from that case. hehe. But looking at what's been pulled online and almost 3 inners broken live yesterday night, you did get the case hits. If there is such a thing in OPC Platinum.

That is somewhat disappointing to hear, I thought there would be one of the Veteran Autos. The veteran auto list is pretty solid this year.
