17.50 shipped haha

These type of auctions are out there. I just emailed a US seller, who won't take less than $20US to ship ANY card to Canada, regardless of value. I've seen (and I think paid) upwards of $30 for a card's shipping. It seems ridicolous but you can blame eBay/Paypal for not protecting sellers using regular mail.
 
word, I've encountered seller with that "fill in your postalcode" and as for me as I'm from Sweden it turned out the shipping should like $60-80 on some auction. Sometimes, not remember exact time or seller, I asked if this was correct and they was pretty much positive regular airmail cost that x)
 
You can file a report with eBay for excessive shipping charges. That's ridiculous. He doesn't mention the shipping fees in the description either so someone could naively place a bid on that.
 
If the guy is sending tracked then its actually cheaper than the true cost. To send with tracking from my local PO they only have one way which I believe is ExpressPost with tracking or some business like that. It sucks and I havent been burnt yet, but I sent a few big money cards to members here with that type of shipping and its damn expensive.

I've had that happen to me as a seller also. It basically made me stop selling on ebay because I couldn't afford the post to Europe (except UK). There was one guy in Slovakia that won 2 lots from me, and I charged the same price I charge for UK shipping (which was $10 i think) but the post office weighed it out and the total came to $72. I had to refund the guys money, I felt so bad about that too. So anyways, sometimes its really like that. I just don't get how its like $60 cheaper to ship to a place in China that isn't on Google Maps than to Europe.
 
He has posted the cost of postage for registered mail from Canada. Thanks paypal. Too bad he didn't include a regular lettermail rate.

I know being insured is the key issue with this but as a UK buyer the $3.20 US postage on a bubble mailer is the best service by far. Im not sure if thats air or whatever but with the $3.20 they always arrive in a week!
