The delay, and possible cancelling, of the 2020 CFL season is also having an impact of CFL card collecting. JOGO's 2020 Alumni Series have been delayed. Even without the virus, who know whats Upper Deck may have planned for the 2020 season.
With that in mind I decided to look back at my vintage CFL cards and decided to try and work at a few old PCs.
The first one is to complete my Rough Rider team sets from the 1950's, 60's. I was able to pick up these four 1960 Rough Rider cards on eBay:
My favourite set from the 60's is 1964. I really like the card layout with bright colours and each team's vintage logo on every card:
When I dig back into my vintage collection I often wonder why I ever spent so much time and dollars on new releases when vintage cards, particularly CFL vintage, can be picked up at such a great price and will hold their value much better than newer products. I'm sure other collectors have had the same thought through their years of collecting.
Anyone of HI old enough to remember any of these players? Hopefully the CFL can get going this fall.
