What's the story with these?? I've looked around and can't find much of a history about them.

I can see they're pretty difficult to find as well...I assume eBay is the best place to look?
 
Yep, they're difficult. The Beckett big book says: "The cards were rumored to be available only to members of the media." Funny enough I bought 2/3 of my pc guys' Press Releases from a former editor of the B magazine via ebay. I also think they're only made of the Ser 1 (1-150) though the book says 1-300.

This was the first year of In The Game, Inc. and these were given out to the press.

Not sure if we did both Series I and Series II, just can't remember.

I seem to remember it was just 1-150 since the announcement was for the All-Star series. These were some really tough cards to find, right up there with the 1999 All-Star fantasy cards.
 
Can someone confirm if these 3 parallels are in existence? I'm missing the Derek King cards.

They were in the Wednesday grab bags given to local children if I recall correctly. Print run was 10 or 20 and had the ASG logo foil stamped. The cards you all gave out at your booth didn't have any makings on them that I could tell. One of your staff gave me a Lindros when I was there on Friday.
