Hello,

I know that these are limited to 10 but is there numbering in the card? I bought Sami Helenius recently and it has not any numbering on card.

Thanks

Mika

If you're talking about the acetates, yes they were. Rarer than rocking horse stool, but they were.

Hei Mika,

I ran into this a couple years ago with a couple cards from the set. I am assuming you bought it off of eBay from a certain seller who has other ones listed. Well after questioning the seller and doing a lot of digging of my own, I found that this seller had obtained a complete set of unnumbered emeralds, sapphires and rubies of this set at a show in 2000. Long story short, whoever sold the set of these cards to this gentleman is likely responsible for the cards "mysterious disappearance" from ITG.

At least, that is what I gathered from everyone I spoke with...

I never was able to find out if these unnumbered cards were part of the original print run of ten, meaning that only nine out there are actually numbered, or whether they were prototypes/models for the set.

So, even tho you don't have an actual emerald #/10, to put a positive spin on it, you do have a mysterious oddball piece of hockey card history! :)

Hope this helps!

Kippis!

Yeah that is what i think.. Well now i have a problem, i bought that card from ebay from certain seller who sells it as Emerald /10. What should i do because this is not certainly limited to /10 and not "real deal"?

Should i keep it or get my money back?

Looks like the question has been answered. For anyone looking to pick one up in the future they are numbered on the back just below the player like this one # of 10

Hei Mika,

It's all your preference, but I doubt you could get your money back as he clearly states that the cards aren't numbered in the auction.

If you're a die-hard Helenius or Jokerit fan you could keep it as an oddball item. I really doubt that there is another Helenius out there like this.

But if you really don't want it, PM me with how much you paid and I might take it off your hands. I like the oddball Finnish stuff. Haha.

Näkemiin!
