Expo Redemption: 2003 Fall Expo - Marty Turco (Red Vault)

For anyone planning to buy these boxes at Expo on Sunday, here's a tip -- don't buy immediately. I was at the show Friday and it didn't seem like there was fixed pricing among the dealers. I saw a $25 difference between highest and lowest price per box on the floor!

Awesome stuff. What is the Lundqvist piece from on the Quad? Doesn't look like a jersey. Pad/Blocker/Glove?

Love the Fuhr/Barrasso/Roy. My dads 2 favorite goalies on top, and my favorite on bottom. That's a cool card for sure.

I believe the Lundqvist pad piece is from when he played in Sweden with Frolunda. He wore those old TPS pads and gloves that had some dark green on them. So maybe it was from there? That's my best guess

EDIT: Also, when looking at this listing, it looks like another pad piece was used for the Lundqvist and it , too, matches the colour scheme of his old TPS gear (red, white, green) with this red pad swatch.

The Lundqvist is a piece of his pad. It's very shiny in person. Almost like a fishing lure.

The back of the card specifically states the other swatches are from when the player played for Sweden. For Lundqvist, it only states it is a game used pad.

Still super cool. Love those shiny pad pieces. But also a big fan of a nice chunk of brown too.
