Two things from last nights TOR-TBL game. Hyman got a slashing penalty for going after a puck, and with literally his blade on the ice, hit the stick out of the weak hands of a TBL player. Is that really a slashing penalty or did the refs get it wrong?

Near the end of the game, the puck hit a mic on the inside of the top of the boards, and the TBL players pointed up, while Hyman went to score the empty net goal. Is that mic considered out of play? I don't think so, but why the argument, and response after the puck hit it.

Leafs fan here so maybe a bit of bias, but I don't think that should have been a slashing penalty. The guy reached in with 1 hand on his stick and the wind looked like it could have blown it out of his hand. The other side of the coin is that isn't an easy thing for the ref to see.

I was wondering the same thing on your second question. I would tend to think it is part of the glass, same as the glass partitions. Tbay should play until the whistle.
