Don’t forget those extra $200! And of course all the taxes, which take it up to around $135k USD I believe.

I had the same thought. I think perhaps the venue might be the issue - the truly big, big scores have been auction houses like Lelands and Goldin.

Hard to say it's shilled. Just because they have 100% bid activity with PWCC doesn't mean much when they've only played 2-3 bids total but I guess we'll find out if the card gets relisted.

I disagree. Given what the McDavid sold for, there’s no reason to think this price isn’t legitimate. Also, the bidding history doesn’t bother me for something like this. People who can spend this much on a card are only looking for the best cards, and those cards are almost always consigned, so it doesn’t surprise me one bit.

I truly believe the patch held it back. If this had been a 3 color bgs 10 (even though one doesn’t exist) it would have gone higher
It’s a newer conundrum. GretzkyS Rc Only has condition driving price. condition matters and bgs 10 is the pinnacle, The problem is the secondary factors of signature quality and patch. The sig looks good, but the patch is very plain.

I’d say your onto something there. If at any time I had a high dollar value card like that I would be trying to move it off eBay and save fees. Auctions on big cards are a shill fest.
