Just came across these. I heard rumors of an OPC Update set and I'm glad they're gonna do it. Plus a couple of guys I collect got left out of the first set :D .

Checklist

Sell Sheet

Looks like each pack will have more parallels than base cards. 2 base, 2 Metal, 1 Retro.

Sounds like fun and more cards to chase for my Avs team set of OPC.

Does look pretty good, I like seeing UD actually try something new, hoepfully the Powerplay update wll be just as good

OK looks good! I have a couple os issues

First another Stefan Meyer auto :|

Now still on the autos I have to worry about just how much of this stuff is being made?

Autos fall 1 per case and there are 100 autos in the set! Now with this coming as a brand new product we cant guess how many of each will be made but I sense there could be some seious sp's in this set if not then how many cases of this stuff could be around?

Looks like the check list is not complete.. Big gap in the numbers in the beginning of the Rookies. Noticed a Nathan Gerbe card.. Hope they add a Tim Kennedy one as well.

Yeah, more Wheeler to chase. Are the Metal and Metal X the same thing? I also noticed no versions of those for the Update Rookies?

Also, I don't have powerpoint, is there anyway you could post the pics of the set?

Thanks, Nathan

I'm not sure I like the looks of this.

First off, we take an already rough set for player collectors (every player imaginable in FIVE versions) and add two more variations!

Next, we take a ton of players who already earned cards in the last version of the set, and print new cards with them on their new teams. To top it off, I'm pretty sure I saw some doubling-up on the autos and jersey cards too.

Also, as usual, the checklist is filled with errors. Zherdev on the Blue Jackets? Seriously?

What's the 5th version?

Base, base gold, retro & retro gold

retro blank back is the 5th one Andre. they were 2-3 per case...very tough to find

looks nice, at least there is only 2 parallels this time instead of 5 again lol

anyone know when this is expected to be released?

Blank Back -- the worst of all.

My understanding from reading this, and knowing how UD does their checklists in the past, is that all 800 cards in the set will have all seven variations. It explicitly says that the Metal and Metal X (versions #6 ane #7) cards will be across the entire print run, and it also says that retros, rainbows (Golds) and retro rainbows (#/100) will be inserted into packs for the update cards. That just leaves the blank backs, which were unannounced last time...

ahhh okay, well I'm relatively happy that 2 of Doughty's 3 cards aren't parallels, at least per that checklist.

Hunting down Doughty/Stamkos/Bogosian triple jersey is going to be a bit of a ***** though :(

Oddly enough, my only box of OPC this year, the first card from my first pack was a blank back (Smid).

Yeah, this'll be a tough set for player collectors, but what about team collectors...

Now I have 2 more variations for each card from the main set plus 4 entirely new base cards and their parallels featuring players in their new jersey.

Maybe the return of Chrome by UD?

Wouldn't surprise me - there was word that the Chrome name was exclusive to Topps until a couple of days ago on Dec 31, but maybe that wasn't the case or Topps re-upped the use of that
