Hey guys...in your player/set collecting experiences, how hard have the 08-09 Rookie Class autos been to find? I picked one up about a month ago that I'd forgotten about till now, and I knew they were tough pulls, but just wondered how tough? I didn't follow Rookie Class at all that year outside of the knowledge that the auto pulls were harder to find than finding a wallet without at chain at Chinner's house. I can't find any completed listings on eBay or Terapeak, and wasn't sure if any print runs were released.

I'll probably put it up for sale in the next little bit...was just curious about any info you guys had?

yes these were tough to find, even back in 2008/09

I had a few of them they typically go in the $10-$20 range for common players and the highest I recall seeing were Steve Mason around $150 and Schenn $99

The Rookie Class autos were 1/case - which I think was 20 or 40 sets/case

They were that common Art? That's good to know...I thought they were seeded completely randomly like the Crosby Phenomenal Beginnings autos.

I'm surprised that at one per case, they aren't more popping up with more frequency.

I've had a couple people PM and ask me which one it was...sadly it's the dreaded Zach Boychuk...not anybody anyone here collects

Thanks for the info gents.

autos are 1 per 20 box case. You can find cases now for about $150
I have the Oscar Moller auto.

I would pay $200 if someone could find me the Brandon Sutter auto version.

I do like the Zach boychuk! do you want to trade for Oscar Moller!?!?!

hahahahaahahaha :owned:

As for your question, I have no information to contribute.

ya there 1 per case, and preatty hard to come by, saw someone pull a Doughty a few months ago, beleive he sold it on Ebay

I have a TJ Oshie... and have been offered as much as $150 for it... and I still have it. Super rare... I think longer odds than one a case. Not everyone has an auto as well.

Never seen a Doughty one. I have seen a few others go for $20-30. It's entirely possible people have no idea these cards even exist in the first place so they go under the radar, but at a time, I would have given an arm and a leg for the Doughty when I collected him, and still probably would.

I am not so sure that these are rare as much as they are lightley broken, and even if the entire product was opened, I would still think these are pretty scarce prints runs.

I have cracked a sealed case of the 08/09 junk... and didn't get an auto. Mind you, it seems like 1:50 (or thereabout) seems resonable. Perhaps 1:100?

I would estimate the print runs of the autos at less than 100 each.
