That is an awful list of /99 rookies. No offense, but if I pulled an SP rookie and it was Sutter, I'd be a little choked.

man i wish lundqvist was still signing. another bunch of Frozen Foursomes to chase after would've really hit the spot. ...then again, getting the redemptions fulfilled from the ones i still have from last year would be cool too. i think Ice is one of my favorite sets every year.

UD must be cutting back on production numbers because this year across all 4 Ice Premiere levels, there is only 80 rookies, last year had 126 rookies and 05/06 had 168 rookies.

that's a good thing then. and 05-06 really had 2 rookie classes.

I noticed tehre is a patch/auto version of the Rookie Premiers this year (not including Fresh Threads)

Got to agree with the sentiment on the foursomes


The All flames is a beauty (Al MacInnis, Theoren Fleury,Joe Mullen,Lanny McDonald) and if I had he $s to spend Id chase the Oil vs Flames card (Jari Kurri, Lanny McDonald,Mark Messier,Theoren Fleury)

Other than that there are some sweeeeeeet cards in there!

Wow, who has not been watching the NHL on this rookie list to rank them by level.

Karl Alzner should be a level 3, maybe a level 2
Pogge and Scheinder are level 3s, should definately be a #2
They put Flyers career 3rd or 4th liner Darroll Powe as a level 2 rookie, which should be a level 4 IMO. On top of that, they cant spell his name correctly on the checklst, lol. Darrel Powe. Good thing its not on his cards
Mason should be a level 1 rookie.

This set looks like it was made to be made. That checklist has YAWN written all over it.

they have had Ice Premieres Auto Patches /10 for the past couple of years now. and i would imagine UD made these checklists a while ago not knowing how the season would pan out. just the name of the game...

Doughty has been a top tier/SP rookie in all products this year.

My guess is that they wanted some guys worth pulling outside of the Level 4 to make boxes worth while

While I'm thrilled there are no JMFJ cards in this set (SPGU still has me feeling it), I continue to be disappointed that Derek Roy gets nothing but base and parallels. I can understand if the guy isn't signing but why not put him in some GU sets?
