2008 Carey Price Rocks Thread

I thought last years TTM success was great, but this one is one for the books. You see, because of my head injury I often forget about projects that are sent out, plus in all my letters I always mention that if you don't want to send these items back then you can keep them for your friends and family. So I completely forgot I sent him these TTM's.
Last year I made Carey's dad Jerry, a custom McFarlane of Carey. This year I made Jerry a Custom 12-inch McFarlane of Carey. I also made an extra 11 x 14 Custom picture of Carey's wins from the 2007-08 season for Jerry to frame and auction off or keep for himself.
So here is how it all went down. The doorbell rang, and as usual Matthew (7), and Meagan (5) went running up the stairs, as it's almost always the kids from our street wanting to play.
Matthew calls me and I come to see what's going on. He says that these packages were in the doorway. As soon as I saw the return address, the Ol light bulb went off, and I said "look guys, Carey sent your stuff back". Meagan screamed and said" CAREY, WHAT DID HE SEND ME". I pulled the mini goalie stick out and Matthew grabbed that right away, he said "is this for me", and I told him that it was but you have to hang it on the wall. He was happy with that. To be honest I've never seen any mini goalie sticks of Carey's yet, so it was a nice surprise.
Then out came the baseball. That was for me. I love baseball, and thought it would be a nice collectable. I was right. And the rest is TTM history.

Ya shane, very cool stuff, I don't know about cutting that sheet though. It might be nice frames as a complete sheet. Just my opinion.

And the collection grows....

Thanks, too bad his auto changed a bit. His 04, and 05 autos are alot better, but what can you expect from signing thousands of cards.

Sadly Kyle, his TTM through Mtl is really slow, he gets a ton of stuff. Send it before the season starts, and you may be ok. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm not sure about not cutting the sheet though. I really like my ttm's from Carey, and all my Canadiens in general. I think if all the cards on the sheet were different then maybe, but I have dubs. And yes the collection grows. I had someone offer me a Tri Cities Americans gamer, but I turned the offer down, now I wish I wouldn't have and I can't find his address.

Mario, he's always been a great with TTM's. Be sure to write him a nice letter, and always include a nice short Bio of yourself. I have always found with alot of TTM's that if you ask them to personalize it that you'll have more success. It shows that you are a fan, and not some sleezy seller who puts them on ebay the first chance they get.

Carey comes from a great family background. His dad is just awesome. I hope to have Jerry over for a night if he comes out this way this winter. He works for Tri Cities Americans, as a goalie coach, and Western Scout.

Thanks Jeff. The ol plan for Carey's future base cards is to have one signed for each of the next 18 years. Plus I will always make custom cards for that great TTM look. One thing about my TTM's, it keeps me from buying his UD autographs, and that saves me money to buy his rookies.

Ref my gamer, and GU stick. These also keep me from picking up photoshoot cards. I always tell myself why buy all these inserts when I have the actual memorabilia at home.

There are still cards I would love to have.

08 The Cup Scripted Swatches, and maybe the Roy/Price clear cut winners that comes out in a few months.:dance:

Wow amazing stuff, to have a friendship with one of the best young stars is great!! Glad the kids enjoyed everything they got!!
