Verified Trader,
I simply put the question mark on the title as the only card that I am missing currently is the Claude Lemieux, which is an unfulfilled redemption at this point. Chris Drury, Bernie Parent and Nathan Horton are supposed to be part of the checklist as well, but as of this posting these cards have not been produced. And of course we all know the Martin Brodeur mishap, as he is also not a part of this set.
However, I am rather proud of the current set the way it is, and I'd like to show it off if I may. With the way my Dallas Stars have been playing lately, my cards are the only thing that I can take pride in it seems.

So, there's the set as it stands right now. Again, I am still missing the Claude Lemieux as it is an unfulfilled redemption. Otherwise, everyone is here.
My own personal thoughts on this set is that I think it's the most attractive Stanley Cup subset that UD CUP has ever produced, with crystal clear shots of the players and a great space provided for their autographs. It doesn't have that holofoilish hue to the card, thus it doesn't scratch so easily and look tarnished. I love how they put the years won underneath the black title bar under the Cup. I could go on, but simply put, I LOVE the design of this particular year's subset.
My only few complaints would be some of the player selections...but I get that some of the ones I wanted were included in previous years. Obviously the Martin Brodeur mishap is a major bummer, as I think the Brodeur would be a spectacular addition to this subset. Also, I question, that if they could put Messier and Coffey in this set in different uniforms that they won, why not extend the courtesy to Patrick Roy who is ONLY in Montreal in this set, and Scott Niedermayer who is ONLY in New Jersey? Maybe even Brett Hull, who is ONLY in Dallas. (Although my own personal feelings are as long as it's Dallas we're good! The less Red Wings in sets, the better)
I love how CUP secured Peter Forsberg in 12/13, but I think a Forsberg card in this subset would have been savvy! Thus, if I were brand manager, I would have removed Milan Hejduk and included Peter Forsberg. Some other names that I would've included in this subset would've been Brian Trottier, Cam Ward, Martin St.Louis, Vincent Lecavalier, and just for my own personal enjoyment Sergei Zubov and Mike Keane.
I would say Gordie Howe deserves to be in this, but this is the year that UD lost out on Howe's contract...so that point is rendered moot.
Well, that's it. Hope you enjoyed the show. Please feel free to leave a comment or let me know whom you would have liked to see in this subset! Thank you!
