I did like it. The only thing that is kind of annoying is the photo variations on the SP's. Instead of having them the last 50, the first 50 etc, they are kind of all over the place. If you don't know what they are, it's a lot of looking up. I guess just a bit of a pet peeve. I do like the assortment of parallels and SP's, gives it a lot of added value IMO. And the fact that all (or at least they were in my box) of the autos were on-card

So, I bought a box of these today, my first baseball in years. How do I know what the variations are. I can look up the numbers, but if I don't have the two different cards how would I know if I have one?

My best,

Ken

I broke a box of this too. I love the cards and agree with you on the sp'd variations. it took me a few hours of searching to figure out which ones I had were the sp's.
My hits were ok but I wasn't expecting much. No Yu tho.. oh well next time.

Are these rookie cards? I wonder what his auto jsy rookie cards from other sets will go for.

That would be a rookie card - his GQ auto/25 went for $900, and the first Tribute auto/25 went for a couple of K IIRC

Thanks for the reply. I really want a Darvish auto but can't justify spending that much(which is funny because I've spent that much on a single hockey card multiple times before). Darvish has got me back into baseball cards. Perhaps I will try some boxes in the future and hope for the best(although unlikely).

Yeah, Topps product gonna shoot up quick, with the announcement of their Bryce Harper plans, along with the Yu and Cespedes cards. Bowman jumbos have already gone up $50 a box, and the product isn't even live yet. I see another Strasburg craze coming up :)

In which case I'll just sit back and watch - You can find last years boxes at a more reasonable price than a week or two after release.

Topps already has a track record of cranking the presses to maximize their own return - and there will be plenty of wax out there - making it next to impossible to pull a Darvish or Cespedes auto - just like Strasburg and Harper were very tough pulls
