What sticks out to me the most is that even with one less set, Panini still produced 70% more unique cards than UD did.

44% more RC's
121% more auto's
130% more mem cards

I have heard a lot of people say that Panini was flooding the market. Do these numbers not prove that?
 
Thanks for all the stat-keeping you do through the card year! Are you planning to do a RC recap with all of the players who earned rookies in 2013-14?

While I'll always give Panini credit for winning the creativity battle with UD, unfortunately, you're dead right. Panini's flood of way-too-huge RC subsets is the worst the hobby's seen since Upper Deck's offerings in 05-06.
 
Great job being the H.I. scribe and keeper of records...lol honestly i too love your posts as they are a great quick reference when researching product. As for Gomazs' question of market flooding by panini....well the proof is in the pudding, this is why i generally stay clear of panini RCs though i do find some of them fairly pretty to look at. I hope UD takes note and not flood the market in the future.
