Its amazing how quickly these Expos have been flying by. As usual it was great seeing a ton of people from this site and catching up a bit. I am always impressed by some of the collections you guys have amassed and it always gives me hope that this hobby is still strong; even with all of the changes happening with some of the major production companies.

Over the years, I have learned that these Expos are all about rolling with what is presented to you. There are just so many collector's and so many cards in the room that certain shows present certain opportunities. This show seemed to be throwing tons of really nice 90's inserts/parallels in my face….. so I picked a big chunk up for my $2 sale threads. Here is a sample of what will be in the next one:

These next few cards were cheap enough for me to take a chance on them:

Bouchard Patch /25, Miettinen Xfractor /25, Tkachuk Die-Cut Auto

Thornton, Hasek, Forsberg Gold Die-Cuts

PTTC Patch Variations /10 w/ Some nice swatches

Some decent Green Backs

This Triple came in a trade from my buddy I traveled to Expo with.

At the ITG redemption table, I was watching a few breaks after checking out the game used jerseys and ran into a guy that had just broken 2 tin of the cup and a pack of Lord Stanley's Mug. Needless to say, he was disappointed except for the Gretzky Enshrinements Auto he pulled. We chatted for a few minutes and I wound up walking away with the following for less that the price of a pack of LSM:

These next two came from Jeremy (Gomaz). Thank you very much! I really think both Stamkos and Tavares Autos are undervalued.

Found this Contenders 6 Auto in the first aisle:

I love these old ITG Ultimate cards. Especially being this limited and with a great swatch:

I haven't seen many of these autos over the past few years so I worked out a 1 for 1 trade to bring this home:

I Found both of these cards on the very end of a side table mixed in with some random TML cards. After a little negotiation I was very happy to land them:

Limited to only 20 copies each

On Saturday I was shocked to see this card in a showcase from a dealer I have never seen before. He had a pretty high price tag on it but I know how hard these are to find and the swatch was right on it. I walked away in the morning after discussing the price, but by the end of the day the seller was much more willing to negotiate:

With the Brodeur being picked up on Saturday, I was even more shocked to see this next card in front of me on Sunday morning. It was actually in a big stack of cards owned by another customer and was being shown to a dealer as a lot. I expressed interest in the card, but allowed the dealer to pick up the entire lot. Then I worked out a price with the dealer after he acquired everything:

* Crazy to me that 2 of these cards showed up in the room this show with both having great swatches on them!

Obviously I was also able to pick up a few Mike Richter cards for the PC. I saw a good chunk from the new ITG/Leaf Ultimate, but I honestly am very disappointed in these cards. It bothers me more than pieces of cardboard should, but because of that I stayed away from a lot of it because of the asking prices. I am confident I will be able to pick most of them up cheaper.

I picked this one up from Frank. He always treats me fairly and checks with me first on everything Richter he gets. Thank you buddy!

This next one came from AJ and has an amazing swatch. The price was fair on it and I decided to pick it up:

The swatch on this next one was amazing and I got it for a 1/3rd of the price I was quoted on it:

My final pickup was my favorite and I was very happy to match it with its other version. There are only 5 copies and this is the only one I have ever seen:

It goes great with this one:

Thanks for the long look! Everything is available except for the Richters!

I saw that Marty as well - nice grab! I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned just how much STUFF there is in the room, it literally is overwhelming from the moment you walk in.

My favourite is the Orr - that Under Glass set is THE BEST. Good for you!

Very nice pickups! Those saviors patch cards are incredibly rare! I haven't seen a Turco for sale in about 6-7 years now and am kicking myself for not grabbing it! Definitely my "white whale."
