2015 Fall Expo!!!

My reports aren't as good as they used to because of how much I've scaled back, but I have to say that this Expo seemed to have introduced a revival of sorts to the show and it was good to see.

I got there on Friday and the line was pretty long. Bought my weekend pass and the show was in full gear. People seemed to be spending and more importantly, dealers seemed to be willing to deal. A LOT of new faces dealer-wise (and old ones with the same dead stock they bring each and every show with the yellowing price tags). Saturday's show was flat out ridiculous. The line was EASILY double what it was on Friday and the show's floor was packed throughout the day.

I wound up breaking 6 boxes of UD1 and pulled one Conor McDavid Young Guns RC. That kid owned the show. I thought his injury would slow sales but no way. One HG /10 was said to have sold for $5,000!

I had one simple pickup and while not hockey, I'm sure you'll dig it. I've wanted one for a long time but finding one mint and centered for anything under $150 was impossible...until Saturday. Grabbed this one for $75 and away in the PC is goes

Love that card Ryan, LOVE it. When I was looking for a Sweetness autograph for my PC I bought the Topps Archives version of that card signed. SO sick.

I laughed LOUD at your "yellowing price tag" comment. I cannot believe these dealers that go there totally inflexible and steadfast on their "reasonable" prices.

Let's just say we don't fart in the general direction of some of those guys right?

I AM glad to hear some more dealers were dealing and some new blood was in the room, we need that to grow this stupid cardboard chase we are on.

If you're only going to buy one card at EXPO, that would be one to buy. Tough to find centered cards from that set, and for $75 it's a steal. Very nice addition to any collection.
