That wouldn't surprise me, not a strong class at the top so I am sure we will have some surprises as far as the rookies.

*Ottawa and Montreal fail to make the play-offs this season.
*Cam Talbot win the Vezina.

I definitely can see all of these happening. I think Doughty being traded is VERY real. LA is going to start a rebuild here in the next 2 years or so I think and will, eventually, try and dump off some people for assets. I think they will go one more season and see where guys like Brown and Carter are at before making any decisions. I think Kopitar will stay a King for life unless he ASKS to be traded.

IF they trade Doughty they are going to get a ton in return, at least a #2 D man to replace him and some great picks/prospects.

Toronto wins cup, beating Edmonton in 6 games. Matthews is better than mcdavid signs across the country. Matthews top point getter in season and playoffs, ovechkin leads in goals and gets 72 in a season. Kovalchuk comes back and plays on a line with hischer.

Apparently 7 games in to the current season the Leafs have become HEAVY Stanley Cup favorites so it's no longer a bold prediction.
