2017 - Stanley Cup Playoffs - Rd 2 - Eastern

And Holtby is just flat out being outplayed by Fleury, and that's the main difference in this series I think.

0.936 SV% vs a 0.867 SV% Fleury vs Holtby in this series I believe

My number for Fleury came back .937, but yeah, make no mistake, goaltending is the difference in this series.

Though they've both given up 11 goals each, the Penguins figured out Holtby isn't as strong when his shots are limited. The Capitals put 142 shots on Fleury so far, the Penguins only have 83 on Holtby (they got 9 on Grubauer in game 2).

Fleury has stood on his god damn head during these playoffs, and should this be his final run in Pittsburgh, he's doing it in absolute style and grace. I have never seen him make the caliber of saves I've seen in this series - especially in rapid succession.

The Penguins are going to need 9 more hero performances to win the Cup with 4 of their top 8 (my opinion) out. I don't know how this team gets to the end without Crosby, but you can never rule out a very well-coached team with the hot goaltender.

Nice Offsides Goal Ottawa.....thats Pathetic

its not off side if the player has control of the puck and enters the zone first, as long as he has control he is allowed to enter the zone before the puck, ie, backwards. it was pretty easy to tell upon review that Turris had complete control of the puck

So possesion means puck ON THE TAPE....

I possess thar card and its not in my hand but im 2" away so that counts??

Possession doesn't necessarily mean puck on the tape. The player just needs to be in complete control of the puck. It's one of those calls where there is some leeway and judgment involved.

Stick handling is considered possession, if it had to be always attached to the stick, plays would be blown dead every time someone entered zone!

Pens are in big trouble! Trotz's line shakeup seems to have the Caps firing and the Pens just look beat up and gassed. Seems like Fleury may have finally cracked also. I think the Caps will take this series after all.
