2020 Upper Deck CFL Product Data

Cardboard Connection has finally listed some information on Upper Deck's 2020 CFL Card set: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2020-upper-deck-cfl-football-cards

When this information was posted on the Universal Distribution twitter feed there was some discussion as to whether, or not, this card set would be released if there is no season.

I would appreciate it if any members can post what they've heard regarding this product.

Apparently it is confirmed because pre-orders are up. Upper Deck sure is doing everything they can to kill the value of breaking this product. Removing the blank backs and purples and adding a 1/1 instead that you might find 1 per case instead of 15 purples and 5 blank backs will decrease the value. The auto patches are /10 which is the same as what they were on E-pack based on the fact that all the Harris and Taskers are gone and by my count there were 10 redeemed of each of those will make those fall 1 every 2 cases assuming they are using the same overall print run on the product, which they likely are given the reds are the same. The SP autos are now 1:2 cases compared to 1 per case in past years and only 3 hits per box instead of 4. When you add in that cost appears to be $15-20 a box higher based on what my LCS advised the pre-order price is, it adds up to possibly being the first year this was not a profitable product to break. I have only pre-ordered 1 case to start with and will assess after that. Usually I start with at least 6 cases.

Here's the checklist. Pretty weak IMO especially when you add in the removal of the purple and blank back parallels and the increase in price. Glad I've only committed to one case on release as this is probably their weakest product since the 2017 version which was a dog with fleas.

Do you guys know if Bo Levi will have an auto in this set? There's a pic, but no mention of an auto on the checklist.

No, he does not have an autograph this year which is disappointing given it was one of the feature cards on the sales sheet.
