2022 World Juniors - Canceled

This is getting to be too much. Asymptomatic people with a dominant variant equivalent to a cold. When Canada opens up, it's going to be bedlam, not bedard, my goodness.

At some point locking yourself up for fear and being overly crazed will be detrimental to the herd immunity that eventually has to happen with this. And that's science folks. What a gong show between Tru-DOH and the dumbest human ever in the Executive Branch.

So, is the assumption that Hockey Canada and the Federal government shut this tourney down. From what I have read it is solely the IIHF decision. Alta premier disappointed this was shut down. If they were trying to keep COVID out, their bubble plan was quite poor. Hopefully can reschedule.

IIHF or not, don't think for a second there wasn't government influence/entity with their proverbial foot on someones proverbial neck. Plus Canada has implemented the Astra Zeneca vaccine. In a word, dumb.

There is a reason the US would not ever allow that as a widespread solution, and, has made the Johnson and Johnson a highly unpopular option. Again, science, anyone can read up if they like.
 
I had tickets to several of the games and after multiple changes did manage to see two games including Canada/Czechia. Was looked forward to going back to Edmonton for the New Years game and staying right through for the gold medal game. :curse:

It's only going to get worse for us here. Luckily the work I do is considered "essential" so I won't lose any pay, but unfortunately lots of people will.

Thank god the Home Depot I went to today had reduced capacity and were only allowing 500 people in the store..............

nice I was really hopping someone would turn a hockey thread on a hockey forum into a political issue....not surprised at the person who did it :)

If you think politricks weren’t involved in this, you’re still living blind in your cage. Also, you can say whatever you like about me, but I speak freely, openly, honestly, fairly, and factually. Nothing to hide, fully transparent, I’m not here to make friends, just here to discuss hockey, cards, and things pertinent to said topic matter, which is what I did.

We all our entitled to our opinions. I don’t have one on you, or really most anyone here except for a few clowns that have justified the label. I am simply discussing things human to human. I honestly don’t care what anyone on this board thinks of me, not everyone is for everyone, and I have my friends in the hobby, I’m sure you do as well, cool.

That said, I’ll continue to speak as mentioned above. Happy Holidays to you and yours, be well, be safe.

I’ll take living in Canada any day!!! Happy you are happy being you!!!

I for one am sad this happened. Terrible timing. They had rules set out ahead of time that omnicron put a quick halt too. Hopefully they can reschedule soon!!!
