Back in the 90's I put all the EX sets together for baseball and basketball so I was excited when I saw that UD was releasing an EX set using the 1996 design for hockey as that was a favorite of mine. Busted a couple boxes and my thoughts on the product, lots of cards came out of the packs with the foil chipped. Inserts are kind of cheesy and for my opinion a total waste. I was hoping to hit an autographics auto as that design is one of my all time favorite autographed cards. I didn't hit an autographics but did hit an auto of a nobody special insert. But with only about four autos a case, at least I hit one. The cost of production may be really high, but this would be a fun product to break if the box price was $150 and not $225. For what you get in my opinion it is way over priced but then nobody made me buy it.

Hits from the two boxes, auto not scanned because it was nothing special. I did get the two base cards I was wanting from the set, which was a huge plus.

Base:
Vre2ROd.webp

VSpjIkJ.webp

Better cards with Cooley numbered to 99

t3tHjvL.webp

SjlRMfP.webp

Good luck with your breaks

Agree the price point is too high. They should just bring back fleer and add these as inserts if the production cost is that high for the base cards.

Cards look awesome!!
Price is kinda insane and it seems the nicer hits are insane to pull

I don't think Majority of ppl that open boxes expect to make money back but we at least expect to get something cool from each box or a good percentage of boxes lol

The base cards are pretty, but I agree with you that the pricing is a bit high. A few years ago, UD made the EX 2017 subset in Fleer Showcase, I have a few in my Habs PC and I love the look of them.

I ripped one box- 22 of my 48 cards were damaged on the bottom front edge.
About right! I actually was a fool and went back and bought three more overpriced boxes thinking it had to get better. While I ended up getting close to a complete set, again many damaged cards. Not a bad as the first two boxes and I hit another nothing auto but still I have regrets about opening this product. I didn't know Premier was coming out or I would have spent my money there. I picked up singles on eBay so the set is finished and a nice addition to my collection but it costs way to much for what I actually got from the product.

Another thing I find beyond interesting! Every day since its release I have checked eBay to see if there is a listing for an Autographics Connor Bedard auto? I may have missed it but I have YET TO SEE A SINGLE ONE of his autos. That was one of the main reasons I broke the product as I was hoping to add a Bedard Autographics to my collection since that style of autos is one of my all time favorites. Is his auto even in the product? Sure make we wonder or how short printed it is?????

Buyers regret for sure for me!!!!
