Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can find a visual guide for the 2023-24 OPC variations?

I understand that if you look at the back of the card the variations do not have the extra dark border on them.

As Norm showed, if you see the variation with the regular base, they’re pretty obvious, even with the subtle difference in the border.

In my case, they also appeared in one of the insert slots - so as one of the three inserts, which also helps in finding them.

Love the variations they do each year! I wonder how short printed they really are. I'm going to throw a wild guess and say 50-100.

If you use this as a guide, what other numbered insert did you get in the case that would quantify to 3 or 4? That would be close to the number of each variant…well, at least what common sense would say.

So, here is a way to think about it: if you pulled 10 purples, the quantity would be less than purple, and if you pulled one emrald, it would be more than that. Since the list is limited, to at least the 100 identified, maybe more, the quantity may be double the odds. They may be somewhere between 25-50.

I am not discounting the 50-100 count as stated but believe that /100 blacks are falling about 1-2/box traditionally 2/per, but 1/per this year with other chases. The 600 card chase set for the black is definitely a challenge, but the variant chase could pose a similar challange base on the fall rate.
