Been a hard week with the holidays and it being 16 months since my wife passed away and then Sunday night, a commode split open in an upstairs bathroom and flooded part of my house. Repairs are going to cost about $40,000. so not a good week! My employer told me to just work from home this week and take care of the house. They are amazing to work with and for.
When it came time for my lunch hour today I called the local to check on the additional in store credit I was to receive. they said it would be an additional $700.00 so I asked if they had the new Black Diamond, yes! So they will consider two packs of Black Diamond and a box of UD1. So off to the store.
Get there and manager was working with a customer about selling some cards, so while waiting I decide to buy a pack of Black Diamond. Then we finalize the deal and I get the two packs of Black Diamond and UD1.
UD 1 yielded a deluxe of Gabe Perreault.
Walk to the shelf and they have three packs of Black Diamond. I pick one and these were the best hits from that box
I then see they have a sealed case and the manager said I could take the packs from the shelf or open the case. Last time I took the packs from the shelf, it was amazing but this time I decide to open the fresh case.

Now to pack 1 from the new case. I noticed that in the serial number the last two digits of one of the boxes was my birth year, so of course I pick it.

Could not believe my luck in pulling this autographed patch card!
