Wow, that was fun just to scroll down through them all. The Whalers; the original Jets. Les Nordiques! Loved when that set came out -- just "different" cards (for those of us not old enough to remember the '64-65 set when it came out) but full body shots and great photography. That was the year I got back into collecting NHL cards and busted lots of wax for the 93-94 season. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!

I LOVE this set! Super hard to find sealed boxes of this stuff now. I have a series 1 and 2 box sitting in my sealed box collection at home.

When this stuff came out a LCS by my public school sold packs. Everyone at school wanted the Felix Potvin cards! The LCS always seemed to be sold out when I went.

It took me lots of expo's to finally find my sealed boxes. I still have the cards from my childhood. I never had top loaders or sleeves for them, so they got pretty beat up!

Nice show and tell and thank you for taking the time to do this.

Awesome set Robert and to store extras, you had to use 330 count boxes!
I still have them, stored away along with NFL Gameday (tallboy) that were put out about that time.
Trip down memory lane, for sure.

I didn't expect to get so many comments on this thread, and all super positive at that. Thx guys. HI shows its true colours. So nice to see you are all reliving the nostalgia and virtually flipping through my binder. I may do another "oldie" or two as time permits, ones that remain special to me.

trekrun: thx. I think my extras (had about 2,500 extras at one time) were just stored vertically in 5,000 count monster boxes, sticking out, with no lid on it. Not sure if they are still in the basement or if I moved them out. And yes, I remember NFL GameDay and NBA Jam Session and MLB Extra Bases. ;-)

GoalieFan89: When I did this set in the mid to late 2000s it was all from eBay boxes. Series 1 was easy for me to get, Series 2 seemed much more difficult. Maybe the print run wasn't as high due to all the Series 1 "love" (or lack thereof?) Too bad you didn't have penny sleeves; if I recall, oddly enough, they sold for same price as normal sleeves even though they were 40% bigger. Odd.

56Parkies: Yes, so awesome to see these teams that moved onto greener (whiter?) pastures (ice?).

Bouwmeester 4: Jokes aside, I used to be able to get a few bucks each for those Kariya Team Canada's.

sedinfan: Yes, I remember in 1990-1991, even a local (Scarborough ON at that time) VHS Video rental place had a "card shop" inside it.

achittka: wasn't sure at first if that was a compliment or a diss, but whatever it was, thank you LOL. Yes, it was a labour for sure, but the engagement I've gotten on this post has made it well worth it! Such a break from show and tells of well, box breaks of the latest greats.
