25 blaster box openings and 2 OPC Platinum: No value.

Hey all...

I opened a bunch of blaster boxes from Target. Ice, Skybox Metal, SP Authentic, and UD Series 1, 2 and Extended.

I received one parallel Lucas Raymond RC that was decent and might be worth 50-100.00.

I was excited to get Caufield and Seider RC's in Young Guns, Ice, SP A, and Ice...

Those are the big pulls from what I understand and there is literally, practically, no value to any of those cards.

I opened OPC Platinum yesterday, 2 boxes. Nothing of value stands out.

That pretty much sums up how my retail breaks go. One reason I don't break retail. Not much there.

There is a reason that retail is cheaper. The odds are much harder to pull anything of value when compared to hobby.

I think Platinum retail is actually decent. You get the blaster exclusive Yellow Surge parallels and those have been selling fairly quickly for me. And the numbered stuff is available in retail as well. Saw online that somebody pulled a Golden Treasures 1/1 from a blaster. I'd much rather bust 8-9 blasters than a single hobby box.

Hockey retail is tough. It's not like baseball retail where people somewhat regularly pull low numbered and valuable cards.

Fan of the Green Dazzlers. For Ser1/2/Ext, I've changed over to buying blaster cases from my LCS.
