33/34 Morenz Card? Need Help

Hey guys...

I have this card that was in a collection I bought years ago. At the time, I didn't know this was in there, but I'd like to try and get some info on it.

It looks like a 33/34 OPC Morenz, except as I understand it, the background should be red, not orange. Maybe it's light damage... but the card doesn't really look 'faded'...

And yes, I realize the card has been trimmed extensively (a good 3/4" off the bottom) but I'm trying to figure out if this is a reprint first, then try and figure out if it has any value to a collector or not.

looks legit to me. i have seen various versions, i think their might be a blue one as well. different series i think.

Here is an article that may be of interest:
1933-34 OPC

There are 4 different colours (blue, orange, red and green). Not sure if any are short printed. My guess is that they would have been pretty even back then. Since they are so limited as they are, colour shouldn't make a dollar difference, except to the set/player completionists.

Too bad it's been trimmed. It would have been a sweet card!

Thanks Bill - yeah, it would have been a sweet card. The top two corners are soft, but intact, and the bottom ones are sharp, but of course it was cut. Also, it may have been trimmed side to side, though it looks in that regard - I'll have to get a ruler out to measure it.

The printed 7 on it doesn't help either, but really, it is in pretty good shape. Thanks for your help guys... I'll have to try and figure out what to do with it from here.
