I normally don't post this type of thing, but I came across this doing my daily Trilogy search.

Now, I don't have a problem with the shipping cost as it is clearly stated, but come on, for $49.99 shipping, at least include insurance.

This plus trying to get a decent amount for is cards without paying high listing fees.

I dont have a problem with it since you are well aware of what you have to pay for shipping, he`s not hidding it like most U.S sellers to Canada.

But since its against the rules and people want that Cherry auto for 3$ it will probally be reported.:rolleyes:
 
If you look at all thier listings, each listing has a different S&H cost. Some are only $9.99, while some are $24.99. Obviously these are the prices he wants for the items listed, and figures anything you actually bid will be gravy!!

I wonder if his shipping costs score will take a huge hit? I would guess not since most people that would bid on one of those auctions is aware of what he is doing and would be okay with it.

And wouldn't Ebay want to stop this type of auction since it is skirting the rules and costing them money?

It will because someone is going to get exited near the auction ends about the .99$ price and is going to bid without reading the details on shipping expecting regular shipping fee`s accross ebay on cards.

If someone reports it they will probably bring it down if they dont stumble on it.

Max, I bolded your statement because I absolutely believe it should be reported...and you know why? Shipping is a service offered by the seller, and if he's going to charge you $50 for said service, you should receive what you paid for. In this case, if I paid $50 for shipping...whether I paid $3 or $400 for the card, I expect a shipping service worth $50. If he sends it regular mail in a bubble mailer for $1.22, then he deserves to be reported for excessive shipping.

Fee circumvention's a pretty clear violation of the eBay policy. If he isn't willing to play by their rules, he shouldn't be in the sandbox. It's not fair to the 99% of sellers who shuck their cards honestly on eBay and pay fees for the services rendered.

Matt, i dont promote or aprove what this seller does, he`s exposing himself to trouble more then anything.I did the same when i started to sell on ebay, i didnt think it was normal to sell my base from my 80$ sweet shot tins for 99 cents so i putted a 7$ shipping charge.A dude won 2-3 and gave it to me.

Im just saying its all over ebay, if you guys report this, then you should probably quit your job and start to look at everything that sells on ebay.

If you buy an electronic part from Japan, chance are you going to pay 99 cents for the item and 10$ for the shipping that cost 2$ max.

I think we have enough trouble selling on ebay, we shouldnt give a hobbyist more because he`s doing what a vast majority of people are doing out there.

He dosent suprize you whit a crazy shipping price after you won, its right there for you to see , black on white, so its up to you if you whant to bid or not and pay that shipping price.He dosent force anyone to bid.

The guy is not shilling or switching patch, he just wants what he think is a fair price without paying 20-25% in fee`s.

I think im going to bid on is Puppa ,always wanted to build a sabres auto set from the mid 80`S-90`s, do they have a Whakaluk and Andreychuk in this set ?
