Bacon on a pizza is so wrong. On the other hand, pepperoni with fried eggs sounds quite nice! It's a battle between run-off lard and orange grease!
Ok just got back...two sets of images failed to scan so I had to re-scan them. Also, there's a heated discussion on another board discussing how Raffi Torres got a 25 game suspension for his hit on Marian Hossa.
I really can't believe half of the fans (it's a poll) believe the suspension was too long, lol.

Ok so I opened some of this stuff against my better judgement. I'm not a big fan of products priced like top end and don't deliver top end cards. It's probably why I don't like Dominion.
I got rocked the first box ($165) although at first I thought I got some nice cards, I realized for the same price I could have gotten two Black Diamond boxes (also a bad value) or two and a part of UD base brand...or a SPA and a UD base brand, basically multiple boxes, and gotten way better cards. Thus I stupidly/luckily bought another box. The latter box was the hot box and I got way better cards.
Voynov for the PC (wow 3 PC cards in one break!) and a Henrique (for Calder, go Windsor!) RC.
Also, there are so many dual jersey pairings that make no sense...this one made sense so that even though it's just two jersey swatches, I scanned it!
Although they'll probably be broken up soon

Patch is 3 color and appears to be an Oiler patch, maybe part of the numbers on the back. The H. Sedin is 7/10. Just like his diving score in game 2, lol. I give him a 7 out of 10...not quite Kesler-esque. Next time try getting all four arms/legs in the air and wave em around like you just don't care! Ask Burrows how it's done.
I'm starting to build a nice little auto collection of Lidstrom before he retires. Also, is it me or does Johan Franzen's auto look nothing like what you think it should based on his game?

I usually don't like retro sets because I can't hit a RC and thus can't hit any Kings RC. And other than a couple ex-Oilers plus Luc Robitaille, they never put a lot of ex-Kings in there from when I started following the team. I'd love to see some Bernie Nicholls, Jimmy Carson, Steve Duschene, etc. in a Kings uni.
But lately I've been tempted to open some old skool Parkhurst...for some reason I've been itching for some green foil. And I had about $76 bucks left and with all of the UD base brand sold out in the room, I picked up a box of this for $70...leaving me enough left for a cheap lunch.
For anyone wondering about this product, take a look. I think it's pretty wonderful. This year it's a mash-up of two products (and I love product mash-ups), Parkhurst of course and Champs...thus Parkhurst Champions.
Love these Champs minis...the paintings are so good. Here are some of my faves. Here's something almost no one knows about me and my hockey fandom (until now), I really, really dig Howie Morenz, the Stratford Streak. Wish he was still alive and signed. Same with Maurice Richard. Hey, I bet there's a Richard Champ mini in this set...It's now on my back burner to buy a case of this product later if there's a lull in releases.
I LOVE these reprints. They just seem so neat printed on high quality paper and glossed on both sides...they look way better than the Parkie Reprints from the 90s for some reason...or maybe I'm just getting old and am starting to like old-man stuff like Parkhurst.
So my auto for the box was this Basil McRae and like the 06-07 product, the auto card looks just like the base card but with an unfinished front surface for the auto. They feel like this year's Artifacts base...really fancy but green.
The Renditions black and white Howe is a SP'ed SP while the color Renditions are normal SPs as were the reprints above. They are nice but not as nice as the Champs paintings to me.

That Roy is fantastic. The SPGU break was very nice too. I think you should definitely be buying in bulk like this. Seems to work for you.

My luck is pretty sick one way or another...for example this year alone, I bought a half box of UD S2 10-11 and pulled a PK Subban Rookie Threads patch, I pulled the RNH Young Guns UD Canvas from a Retail blaster, etc. Normally I do case breaks but I'm just easing back into the hobby and mostly breaking UD base brands because the break is more casual...less saving for two pay periods, then waiting for the case, then breaking it with a lot of pressure on to get something good...
Then you get something good and it's like, well, you should have, it was a whole case, lol.

PS - When I got the Roy, it was my first Renditions painted card that I was paying attention to so for a moment, I thought it was facsimile. Also, I think it's the first Roy auto I've ever opened. I own a Roy auto but it's an ugly one on a Pro Set card that looks like his children signed it real fast for him.
