90's inserts glore

was going through my collection. need to figure out which ones i want to trade away. decided to take a picture of these 90's insert sets.

The 90's inserts interest me because that's when i started collecting. I would also say that the inserts from last couple of years have been more appealing too and maybe i'll pick up some as well.

Beautiful, some of my favortie inserts ever. The early mask, Pinnacle B, Nifty 50, Elite, Leaf signatures even the proset inserts....good times. Thanks for the show :beer:

Thanks for posting these! Those first three sets (Pinnacle B, Pro-set and Bobby Orr Score) bring back some great memories. I have the Pinnacle B set also. Always loved that set. They were all rage back then. I used to have the Pro Set Orr's too but I think I sold them when I had a card shop in Winnipeg back in 1991-1993.

thanks all. definitely good times. they are so pretty to look at.

the leafs gold team are definitely 94-95. the select gold team might be 95-96 but i think they are 94-95.

most of the inserts from late 90's (pacific era) to late 00's are pretty ugly in my opinion. but i would say some of the inserts from last couple of years have been pretty good looking.


There are more 90's insert sets that I am trying to put together, plus a couple of sets that i did not put up here. Perhaps I'll update this sometime later. I am a pretty patient man though. hehe.

the select gold team might be 95-96 but i think they are 94-95.

Without trying to sound too smartass, you can see it's newer than 94-95 from two things
1) Roy plays in Avalanche. 94-95 was last season of Nordiques.
2) 94-95 the set name was Select, not Select Certified.

You're welcome! It's not a big deal here, but sometimes in Ebay I see people listing the wrong season and that way seriously hurting the final price (because when you look for a 95-96 card, you search for 95-96 card, not 94-95 card).

But like said, nice sets and I got some collecting inspirations out of them.
