Came across this and I was like WOW :yess:

97-98 Score Artist Proof Set

I remember back in the day these were just the rarest and coolest. I wonder how long it took to put the set together?

Really surprised it sold for what it did. But I know I would love to own it too, just not at that price.

That sounds about right for that set IMO. That cost averages out to $3.79 a card shipped, which, if you consider the rarity of the card + cost of having to piece each one together (let's assume $2 + $2 shipping each) it is a good price.

I had one of these cards back in high school (Khabibulin) which somebody gave me in exchange for lending him $3 for lunch. The next week, he came back and gave me $30 for it, telling me he found somebody that wanted it from him and was offering him $40. I happily obliged.

That guy has had a ton of awesome 90's stuff up. He has boxes and boxes and boxes of sets, and very rare singles that I havn't seen in years. He had the 1995-96 Summit Artists proof set I was thinking about buying, but he got an offer of $850 and and I didn't want to spend that much at the moment. Check the completed auctions for kragnasty2 he has stuff I was chasing for years

I almost dropped like $3,000 on his auctions, the only problem with the big sets is that I don't have anyway to display them. Which is the only reason I didn't blow my bank account on his auctions. I did buy my Hasek/Cloutier Atomic refractor fusion /25 off him which was a great pick up.

I am a sucker for Mid 90's Pinnacle/Score/Summit/Select Artist's Proofs. If I had more money I would definitely ditch everything I own now and simply bought up as many Artist;s Proofs from 94 to about 99 as I could

Just had a 329.00 order on eBay for old 90s Canucks cards. Only a few cards had scans as well. I think I have a mostly complete 1995-96 pinnacle rink collection set I may throw up on the bay.

I guess I got a good deal at a local live auction when I picked up a complete 330 card 95/96 Score Artist Proof set for $75.00! I believe I just saw a couple of the Potvins from that set go for $75 each.

You don't even see these very often and even when I do see them you pay at least $2 even for the most common player.
