Anyone have more information on these? Sharp looking card, but not finding it in any of my mags or BCH Pluses.

Likely should have asked BEFORE I won one today, but any information helpful.

Thanks,

Dave

How's about throwing up the linkie loo for the auction win?

Cause, I've always heard that 'A picture is worth a thousand words!' ;)

I know that it is from 1996. I believe that it was some sort of promotion where these were handouts from Pinnacle at the Boston All-Star Game. I've heard that Pinnacle (or Orr himself, depending on who you hear it from) would only hand it out to kids, and that the card is limited to only a couple hundred copies. It is, however, designed after the 95/96 Select Gold Team Cards :)

That sure is a 'Steal of a Deal!'

It books in around the $200.00 mark and rarely shows it's face on Da Bay! Congrats on this awesome win! :D

Thanks for the skinny, Jeff... I KNOW I've seen one or two surface here - I just thought when I saw it that if I landed it at $70-$80, there was no way to go wrong.

Bri, where'd you dig out the BV, friend?

Thanks again, all... sure 'nuff, there's an Orr NNO Pinnacle auto listing by player at the back of the yearly bible, even though nothing to correspond with it in the set listings.

The only reference to any AS Game handouts speak to small packs with an Orr/Travis Roy dual plain cardboard card. I'm sure something will surface, but for the time being, I'm pretty comfortable with the fact that by-player listing has an NNO Orr auto from this same year and set!

Thanks again, one and all!

Very nice Dave, I had seen this too, but wasn't sure if it was a certified or not. Never realized he had ever signed anything for that year with Pinnacle, and I couldn't find anything listed either. Good grab!
Jeff, had you gotten the Gretzky you scanned up from me? I had a copy of the Gold Team card, but couldn't remember who I traded it to, and when I saw it there, thought maybe it was yourself. Off topic, but I hate when stuff gets filed away and can't get recalled! lol.

Oct '05, Issue 175 has it in the AT Greatest series of articles, at p. 23, in "Nine of Bobby's Greatest!"

It was a golf tournament give away, with as few as 25 copies after all!

Neeless to say, I'm pretty pleased with it for the price!

^_^

Thanks, one and all, for the snooping!
