Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything new in ole' Bertuzzi PC, but I did get some intersting stuff recently, so here she goes.
First off, a few 1/1 plates:
07-08 Upper Deck "Yellow"
08-09 Upper Deck "Cyan"
and lastly, 08-09 Upper Deck "Yellow"
Next off...08-09 OPC Premier Rare Remnants Triple Patch with Iginla, Cammalleri, and Bertuzzi....#'d 2/3 This is truly a sweet card in person, with all 3 patches being decent!!
Lastly, for the card end of the post...a bunch of Letters
Namely 06-07 SP Game Used "By The Letters"
First off...a "B"
Then an "E"
Then the "R"
Followed by the "T"
And finally a "U"
I have actually had the "U" for quite some time now, but all the other letters were a recent purchase off of Ebay. I had no intention of ever picking up any more of these letters, as they can be quite pricey, but I got an AMAZING deal on the B,E,R,T and could not pass it up. I also do know where the other 3 letters (Z,Z,I) are located, BUT, the fellow with one of the Z's does not want to sell/trade it, so I'm afraid that completing the entire name is not going to happen. The other "Z" and "I" have been offered to me, but I declined for now because if I can't have them all, then I'd rather be putting my cash into the "other" part of my collection that I have been enjoying lately....that being....GAME USED EQUIPMENT!!!
The past few years, Upper Deck has drastically cut down on the number of Todd Bertuzzi cards that they put out in their products, so I found myself getting bored. Rather than walk away completely, I decided to seek out something else to fill the void. I bought my first Bertuzzi game used jersey about 2 years ago, and now I'm hooked. Here's the latest loot!!
First off, a pair of skates used this year as a Calgary Flame. These came directly from the Flames storage facility, complete with paperwork from the team.
Next is a Easton S17 stick from last season as well...
I was also able to track down a few old wooden sticks from Berts' days in New York....
And a picture of all 3 together showing the name....
The last bit of Game Used equipment showed up recently from Detroit!! I had been wanting to aquire a game used jersey for a while, but, seeing Bertuzzi only played about 15 games for the Red Wings, it was going to be tough. The one thing I did have going for me is that Bertuzzi wears 3 jerseys per game (one per period). Yes, this does cut down on the wear on the jerseys', BUT, it also makes a few more available at a decent price. This one shows hardly any wear, but it has been certified as "Game worn" from Hockeytown Authentics. If another shows up with decent wear (and at a good price), I will probably get it, but as of now...beggars cant be choosers
This is the fourth Bertuzzi gamer I now own (2 Canucks, 1 Ducks, 1 Detroit). I plan on getting one from every team he plays for, so I hope he finally settles with one team for more than a season (or few weeks...lol). If you have any Bertuzzi game used equipment, please email me, as I'm probably interested :beer:
Last but not least....one last game used stick...and it's not Bertuzzis'. A few weeks back I saw this stick at auction and decided to throw in a bid. To my surprise, I won it. I won't be chasing any more of this guys stuff, but its' still neat to have kicking around. This is a game used and autographed stick of Tie Domi when he played for the Winnipeg Jets. Wow, does Tie have a brutal signature...lol. It is also signed with the #20, which is what he wore back in hi Jets days. I have tried to photomatch it, but it's hard to find old photos of him back then. I did find a few of him using the same brand of stick, but I can't zoom in to check on any distinguishable marks. If anyone has any older photos of Domi when he played for the Jets, please let me know. Anyways...on to the stick....
