base cards are very cool,alot of effort went into them,they are very clear and the longer you look at the card without blinking the more 3-d comes out,its like yoda reaches out to you on one of the cards,haven't seen to many damaged ones

don't know how he did it but the card looks even more impressive in hand,and the way he used the card stock background dots to flow with the mask is amazing

Sean Pence usually does his in marker/inks. I would say with the consistency in the black levels, this was probably black markers with some grays in there for shading.
