Biggest thing to happen in my collection this year was deciding that seriously collecting Eric Lindros cards was way out of my budget range. So, I took a step back and decided to focus on something more manageable. Which led me to my Nick Schultz and Ville Nieminen collections. I have about 60% of Schultz's cards, which I think is decent for only collecting him for 6 months or so.

I am also making decent progress in my Canadian Olympic team project (a certified auto of every player, trying to average $5.00 or under). My biggest steal being an Ed Jovanovski auto for $0.01.

Autos through the mail are also going well, because so many more hockey players are in minors or locations where they are more likely to sign.

All in all, a good year, but I don't keep track well enough to have nice summaries like you guys have.

My Barlow collection grew tremendously in 2004. I got a 1/1, 1/7, 08/10, 04/30, 11/30, 1/50, etc, etc. The value probably doubled from the value of the collection pre-2004.

This year was without a doubt the biggest year I have ever had collecting...I pulled my first 1/1 Carmelo Sweet Sigs NBA Logo which got me pull of the month in the january beckett. Also Pulled a Dwyane Wade auto jersey /5 from authentix this year but it is a redemption so I wont get the card until 2005. But the best thing to come out of my collecting this year has been the growth of my relationship with my dad I know it sounds corny but cards have given us something to talk about and It has been by far the greatest pull of the year

My collection went through a few major changes this year. I built a large chunk of the SPx set before selling it off, and sold off my Jordan collection. Needed the money to buy a car and to be honest I don't really miss either of them much and think I made the right decision. I got a few cards here and there for my Ionix Master Sets which are my real pride and joy. It's been slow collecting on those but an enjoyable one. Couldn't tell you what my biggest steals etc were, and can't really be bothered going through HI looking for my best mailday, though I did have a couple of big ones - I'd probably say the biggest was the day I got 5 out of the 6 Ionix MJ HoloGrFX Refractors (1:1500, BV200 each) that I needed for my master set in the mail. Probably my favourite steal was getting a 03-04 Focus Shirtified Vince Carter 2 Clr Patch for $4.99. Not that great a steal, but it was numbered 98/99 which is Vince's Rookie Year so I think that card is really cool Also got a Paul Pierce Ionix Reciprocal RC /100 for $11 which was an absolute steal, seeing I bid $65 a couple of weeks earlier on it and refused to pay because it was shill bidded to a crazy extent to push the price to my maxbid.

The second half of the year was really quiet for me, but I'm getting back into it now, I'll be redoing my website soon and doing new siggies for HI. 2005 should bring a continued focus on 98-99 & 99-00 UD Ionix, and further investment in my Tim Duncan collection. Might sell off the Vince Collection at some stage, but at this stage I haven't decided to do so.
