A Luxury Suite mailday...

Thanks to our very own Phoenix, I am now down to needing just FIVE cards to complete the master Luxury Suite set. From out of the blue he sent me a PM asking if I was interrested in buying his blade/patch card of Karyia/Hejduk, and of course the answer was yes. I love those kind of PM's . Without further ado, here's the haul:

So now it's down to the missing five that are in my signature. Not being able to find the Belfour or the Koivu/Theodore is baffling, but this entire six year hunt has been filled with it's surprises. Thanks for the comments, and thanks again for making this card available! Honestly, I'd take ANY version of the remaining cards I need for this set, but it's nice to get a copy that has sooooo much color and a unique blade piece to boot. I think that when I wrap up this set (which will be sometime around 2013), I'll probably take a long, cleansing breath...and then wonder what to do next

The announcement that Panini is releasing a Luxury Suite set this year must have your mouth watering (or leave you cowering in fear, considering you can't find the last few cards ). Congrats on knocking another one off the list... we're all rooting for you to finish this baby!

Q, I still lurk here on a daily basis. I don't always have something of value to contribute to conversations, but it's good to stay in touch with my fellow hobbyists. Thanks for all the comments, and I REALLY appreciate everyone keeping an eye out for these last few cards. I've probably picked up five or six from members right here that either had the card or knew someone that had it, so networking is probably my best hope for set completion. As for the new release, I definitely am down with that program. Hopefully the new release will stimulate a few folks that have one of the missing 5 to move them if the new version is able to garner any excitement in the collecting world. Here's hoping

As for the finished product here, I am going to put them in wall mounted frames to display them as a complete set. I think that would be a groovy way to show it off and i think it would be neat to see the progression of the different versions of each card. Again, thanks to all for the help and well wishes!
