A note for CDN's sending to the US

If any of the canadian members on here are sending stuff to the US via Expresspost Prepaid Envelopes you may want to reconsider. I now have 8 packages that were sent by this method n the last while and EVERY one of them has disappeared at the border. When I track the it shows arrival in the destination country, and that's it.

After talking to Canadapost yesterday and filing a large claim against them I was contacted by the person doing the trace on the packages. She then informed me that the USPS IS NOT scanning the packages on their side and thus losing any tracking on them.

Sorry for the ramble just figured the info important.

Yes I was told thie before about trying to track a package into canada that once it leaves the usa I cant track it anymore unless I use Fedex or UPS

Very Strange, I have sent about 20 packages over the last few months to the US with no problems whatsoever. Hope I didn't jinx it now.

Darren, must be my bad luck rubbing off on you now. Mine hit the US on Nov 30th, still nowhere to be seen. Not looking forward to the six month fight with CP to get my money refunded for the MIA money order either. When I talked to the guy looking into my case file, I told him it looked like it was time to send strictly by courier, and for some reason he didn't see the humor in that. Once more, welcome to the scam that is our postal system!

It's a good service for the cash. They're just not scanning until delivery in the US. Probably the systems aren't 100% cooperative, so they can't do real-time tracking. I've NEVER had any Xpresspost parcel go missing to the US.

Within Canada maybe, but uncooperative systems or not, when you advertise GUARANTEED DELIVERY, and specify 3-5 days for it, it **** well better happen. To the US it's a rip job.
