Another day, another milestone for Iginla!

I'm a die hard Flames fan, and they had a chance to clinch on Wednesday, but somehow I was still very pleased with the results after a 4-1 loss to the Kings, in which Iggy scored his 100th career GWG (Doing it in Gordie Howe fashion). Becoming only the 6th player in NHL history to hit that marker. He has a couple more achievements within reach as he is now sitting only 2 goals behind Sakic for 15th all time, and needs 2 points for 1300! It's amazing how the NHL somehow snubbed him from the 100 greatest list...

So in light of Iggy hitting another big milestone the other night, I thought I'd share a little series I managed to recently finish. A Piece of History 500 Goal Club and 1000 Point Club. Really like this set! Finally managed to finish it after the 1000 Point Club jersey auto /10 popped up on eBay. Thanks for the look!

I love Iggy, was such a big fan of his especially when he was with the Flames. I picked up the Aves version (non auto), I still need the Flames one. I bought the Sundin 500 goal autograph version and was really disappointed that they don't have the gold foil on them like the older versions.

Great looking set Jayden! It is a fun time to be an Iginla fan/collector, he's quite high on the Gordie Howe hat trick list as well. LA seems to be a good fit for him, hope he has a chance to continue there next year.

Wow, those look really nice altogether. I got a chance to meet Iggy when I worked on NHL 2003 - he graciously shook hands with about a hundred people, saying hello and introducing himself to every single member of the team. What a class act, and man, those forearms - they were like tree trunks, a real bonecrushing handshake.

Nice pickups. They look great together. It looks like the autographed 1000 point card is thicker due to a shadow appearing on the jersey? Is that the case?

Thanks for all the comments guys! Yeah for some reason the 1000 Point Club jersey auto is 180 pt thickness, way thicker than the rest.

Maybe they planned on doing a patch but scrapped the idea?
