Planned on posting this a while ago but when I pulled the set out I realized I was missing another common rookie card. Its on the way but the 03-04 Classic Portraits Set was one I have been trying to complete for some time. I was 2 cards short with the Premium Portraits cards of Lemieux and Thornton outstanding. I finally tracked down the Lemieux and then about 2 weeks later the Thornton showed up at my house. The generosity of Hammerhawks to send me that last piece was awesome. Thanks Eric, greatly appreciate the help in completing this set. Here are all the cards that I have from the set! An Antoine Vermette card is on the way as well being the card I missed.

Love that mini Roy 20 card set. /800 but some of them are hard to track down.

2003-04 Classic Portraits has a very special place in my heart, as it was the first box I ever opened and the first set I ever completed. Let me tell you, those Portraits of a Legend of Roy were extremely tough. Those would almost always fetch at least $20 US apiece at the time and there were a couple of them that almost NEVER surfaced. Also, the Vermette rookie is a SSP, as there was some sort of issue with the cards. Even though they are /1150, they are significantly rarer than that. I'm guessing you got the COMC copy that had been sitting for a while. I considered buying that one just to have a second copy of it because of how had they are to find.

Also, glad to help you finish it. Like I said, I LOVE this product and have considered doing the master set. That's actually why I initially picked up the Thornton. But, seeing how close you were, I couldn't help but finish it off for you! Enjoy it, it's an amazing product and it is so amazing to see it all!
